Who We Are
Visit Christchurch is the official destination marketing organisation for Christchurch and the surrounding area. We’re a not-for-profit, community-focused initiative supporting local tourism, culture, and business visibility. All revenue from membership and promotional activities is reinvested into marketing Christchurch as a must-visit destination.
We help local businesses such as cafés, shops, hotels, attractions, and events get noticed by visitors through our website, social media, newsletters, and other marketing activities.
Membership Overview
Joining Visit Christchurch gives your business a listing on our website and access to opportunities to increase your visibility. We offer flexible membership options to suit different business needs:
- Essential (Free) – a basic listing to get started
- Standard – additional features to help you stand out
- Premium – maximum visibility and exposure
What You Get
Online Listings
All members receive a listing in one of the main visitor categories:
- Things to Do – attractions, shops, and visitor experiences
- What’s On – events, festivals, gigs, exhibitions
- Food & Drink – cafés, restaurants, pubs, local producers
- Accommodation – hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, self-catering stays
Listings include your business name, location, contact details, and a short description.
Paid memberships include extra ways to enhance your listing, such as:
- Larger image galleries
- Links to your website or social media
- Longer descriptions or additional details
- Other promotional opportunities
Additional Advertising
Beyond listings, we offer extra ways to increase visibility, such as:
- Homepage banner ads
- Featured placement on the site
- Inclusion in newsletters or social media campaigns
- Seasonal promotions or curated guides
Discounted rates for advertising are available for Standard and Premium members.
